Who we are:
Kabonero Mountainous Coffee Growers Co-operative Society Limited was established in 2013 with support from TJX-Europe to empower parents in this community increase their income and invest in basic education for all the children. Kabonero Mountian Coffee is registered with the registrar of co-operatives in Uganda Reg. No. P.7756/RCS, Fairtrade certified FLO ID 33483 located in the mysterious Mountains of the moon, Bunyangabu District in Rwenzori Region of western Uganda.

Key Achievements:
KAMCOS has implemented premium funded projects to connect water to Nyamba community and reconnect to Nyamba Primary School, supporting fencing of two schools that is Bukara Nursery and Primary and Nyamba Primary School, supporting construction of a local bridge at River Lhume for school children to cross easily, construction of two staff quarters at Nyamba and Bulyambaghu Primary School.
Construction of a girls change room at Bulyambaghu Primary School.
Provision of farm implements to farmers for quality and productivity improvement.
Formed group of youth that support disadvantaged and aged farmers to support them carry out farm activities.
We acquired plots in two communities, Nyamba and Bulyambaghu.
Constructed main offices, two stores, two drying shades and one micro washing station using premium and support from our partner NUCAFE.
We supplied ten thousand chicks to one hundred youth in a bid to let them recover from Covid stress.
We have conducted trainings in the fields of GAPs, Gender Equity and Environment Conservation.
We established an endowment fund in addition to shares which we use as working capital and advances to farmers during off season to meet their financial needs.
